After the runaway success of HopWired, our young 8 Wired maestro Soren Erikson has followed with a delightful Smoked Porter and killer Imperial Stout. Unfortunately these are in bottles only so he’s produced this Red Dwarf for the tap consumer. Rich amber with a rich malt base, light tangerine nose and orange citrus pith lingering bitterness. Clean and dry. PS—look in the fridge for stout & porter bottles.

From the brewery we've all driven past and where only the really sensible among us have stopped. Sweet floral notes, combined with light citrus, make this is a real quaffer—delicious flavours & a medium bitter finish. While this isn't a beer of 'Epic' proportions—a nice balance between toasty malt and fruity hops is just how a Pale Ale should be!

April 2010

Named after nothing more than a lengthy debate about the colour of one's 'man purse', the Yeasties prepare to assault your tastebuds with something new. this time it's an American Amber Ale, rather hoppy but fermented with a Belgian yeast to give it "a touch of fruit, a touch of spice—a touch of all things nice". Touchy feely!

 January 2010

The Yeasties are back! Fresh from success at the BrewNZ awards, where they took out best stout/porter with their sensational ‘Pot Kettle Black’ and a sold-out first-bottle release of ‘His Majesty 2009’, now the boys bring you 'Nerdherder'—a staunchly bitter but "sessionable" New Zealand Pale Ale. Tasting notes unavailable at the time of going to press but, knowing the lads, you won't want to miss this.

December 2009

With the festive season upon us what could be better than for you to get all the presents? This December month will see special one-off beers on tap …one keg and it's gone. We’ve already lined up something from Waiheke Island, as well as seasonal releases from Mata and Croucher to name a few. Watch out for a return of Steve's favourite from Emerson’s too, ‘Maris Gold’. Cancel that holiday—you’ll need to keep coming back to ensure you don't miss out.

 October 2009

From the Blenheim team who make big, full-flavoured beers, Discovery pours a light hazy gold with pine and zesty citrus aroma leaping from the glass. The American hops provide a predominant grapefruit pith flavour and drying bitter finish. If you like hops, Discovery will be for you.
